With 65 registrations entered and 46 cars scheduled to arrive, the RNC rally this year looked promising and it didn’t disappoint when members got together on Sunday 30 June at the splendid Classic Motor Hub near Bibury in Gloucestershire. The weather report was mixed but the day turned out to be dry if a bit on the chilly side for late June. A relaxed atmosphere soon developed with members chatting together about all the great registrations and vehicles present, not only those carrying members numbers but also those in the fabulous display areas at the hub.

The Classic Motor Hub is an excellent facility built on an historic five-acre site formerly the home of RAF Bibury, an RAF Fighter Command base during World War Two, and situated right in the heart of the Cotswolds. It was opened in 2016 by Martin Chisholm, an authority on classic cars for over 30 years, bringing his experience and skills together on a single purpose-built site.

Having a wonderful range of vintage, specialist and exceptional classic cars on display and for sale, there is also an on-site coffee shop and club room café serving a range of breakfasts and lunches, so even if you didn’t manage to join in with the rally this year it is certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.

As usual registrations were placed in eight categories and members invited to vote on the best in their opinion in each class. Voting cards were completed and returned and the results announced mid afternoon.
